Version 1.0 of “Eyes over Collingwood” is one of four books of aerial photographs showing various parts of Collingwood, Ontario, Canada. Version 1.0 focuses primarily on the northern parts of the Town of Collingwood. The colour photographs, taken from low levels, provide interesting bird’s-eye perspectives of the town on the southern shore of Georgian Bay.
"A picture is worth a thousand words"
“If you can’t pinpoint your house in my photographs, you should be able to pick out your neighbourhood,” Czerny advises local residents, adding that for tourists his books provide some insight into this cosmopolitan community. For example, if one thinks of a picture being worth a thousands words, Czerny’s photos easily explain the popularity of Collingwood recreational amenities such as waterfront parks and bicycling/hiking trails which become cross-country skiing trails in winter. “Eyes over Collingwood” books let readers look at Collingwood in the way the seagulls see it, said Czerny, adding that his books will appeal as gifts and souvenirs, as well as providing an interesting look at this community which is about a two-hour drive north of Toronto, Ontario. Version 2.0 shows eastern Collingwood and a small part of neighbouring Wasaga Beach. Version 3.0 shows south-central Collingwood and Version 4.0 shows a small part of neighbouring Town of the Blue Mountains.
